After being in the planning stage for a few months, the first ever WP on Tour was a huge success. The goal of WP on Tour was to bring WordPress fans from around the world for a solid week of fun and co-working, and this first WP on Tour brought ten WordPress fans and developers to Sitges, Spain.

The crew worked together on a few client and personal projects, and some of the biggest releases of the week were major updates to WP Stripe and YouTube DJ. As for the fun aspect, they were kind enough to snap several photos throughout the week.

Last week we launched a brand new WooCommerce documentation suite and public forum – well worth checking out if you haven’t yet done so!

WPCandy Quarterly, a WordPress related quarterly print magazine from the folks at WPCandy, is just about to be mailed out to the lucky readers who either pre-ordered or subscribed. To my knowledge, or at least about half an hour of searching, this may very well be the first ever printed WordPress magazine publication.

The first issue will feature articles from 11 well-known contributors, and due to demand from the pre-orders, 2,000 copies are making their way through the printers as you read this. A lot of thought went into the design of this magazine, and you can see a video blazing through the various drafts below.

It’s not too late to reserve your copy, so if you want to be a part of this historical launch, you should place your order soon before they’re shipped.

Over the past few months we’ve been settling into our new head office here in Cape Town South Africa, where 7 of us work from. Only three doors down from our old one that we outgrew in August last year… It has certainly taken a good amount of time to design, decorate and renovate the office, but we are finally happy with the end result.

A couple weeks ago a good friend of mine, the multi-talented Mr Andrew Schär offered his film skills to showcase our new offices and our day-to-day activities. He’s done a stellar job of documenting WooHQ in an epic cinematic style. We really appreciate his time and effort in trying to make us look good, and really recommend his services.
